Did you know?
It is an O.S.H.A. law to have your forklift operators
trained in the "safe operation of Powered Industrial
Trucks" (Forklifts). All newly hired employees
must be trained and evaluated before he/she is
assigned to operate a Powered Industrial Truck.
Evaluation or Re-Certification shall be conducted
at least once every three years. Powered Industrial
Trucks include Sit-Down Riders, Stand-Up Riders,
Rough Terrain & Telescopic Handlers, Truck Mounted
Lifts, Order Pickers, Electric Pallet Trucks.
O.S.H.A. can impose a $7,000.00 fine for each
untrained operator (up to $70,000.00 for willful
violations!!).
